Typical Day

BIG IDEA is the leading Israel tech education organizer since 2008 and they are our partners in bringing Israeli innovation to camp. The program and instructors provide an expertise in technology along with a commitment to launching the next generation of entrepreneurs and thinkers.  

Our day at begins with an energizing morning kickoff, where campers gather and fuel up for the day ahead. Then, split into smaller groups based on interests, campers dive into a variety of hands-on workshops listed above. Throughout the day, our Big Idea instructors provide guidance and encouragement, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. Breaks are peppered with outdoor activities and team-building exercises, allowing campers to recharge and connect with their friends. As the day winds down with reflections on achievements and goals, setting the stage for another day of exploration and discovery in the ever-evolving world of technology. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Summer Workshops

  • YES! Camp Carmel Creek provides lunch through our partners at SAGE Dining Services. All campers are provided with a daily all-you-care-to-eat kosher community-inclusive lunch program. Please click here to view more information about the offerings.

  • No. While many of our workshops do involve computer/screen work, there are intentional times during the day where campers are encouraged to get out and be active. Those include lunch, unplugged time, and other impromptu exploration times during some workshops.

  • Yes! Campers are given a choice of workshops based on which ones will be offered. At the same time, we want good size groups, and so some campers may not get their first choice.
